I agree with your point about moving education online, the flipped classroom model (learn content independently, do questions in class) works well in University and is absent from most high schools.

However, it's also important to realise that schooling is so much more than academic education - you have sports, music, debating, and all sorts of other social activies that are otherwise absent from an online experience.
